Senior Power Electronics Controls Engineer

A multinational company is looking to hire a Power Electronics Controls Engineer to join their team in Birmingham who will work on micro-grid and PV based power converter control systems and control algorithms.

Responsibilities of the role

As well as developing control algorithms for power electronics, your other duties will include the following:

  • Embedded software including communication stacks and RTOS
  • Grid-tied inverters
  • Develop PCBs and custom tools
  • Design and evaluate prototypes
  • Performance validation

    • To be considered for this Power Electronics Controls Engineer, you will require a proven background in the following:

  • Power Converters.
  • Control Architectures
  • System simulation + Algorithms: MATLAB and Simulink.
  • Lab validation/measurement skills.
