We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our clients innovative team working at the forefront of aerospace and defence technology. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects in a highly regulated and technically challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test mechanical components and mechanisms for aerospace and defence applications.
- Conduct structural and thermal analyses, including Finite Element (FE) modeling, to ensure performance and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with electrical, software, and systems engineering.
- Support prototyping, testing, and practical assembly of mechanical systems and mechanisms.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering.
- Demonstrated experience working in highly regulated environments, ideally in aerospace or space sectors.
- Strong understanding of structural and/or thermal analysis and FE modeling.
- Proficient in mechanical design software (CAD) and analysis tools for structural, thermal, and mathematical modeling.
- Familiarity with one or more of the following: gears, motors, or mechanisms.
- Practical experience in building and testing mechanical systems and mechanisms.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency with MS Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
