We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our clients innovative team working at the forefront of aerospace and defence technology. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects in a highly regulated and technically challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test mechanical components and mechanisms for aerospace and defence applications.
  • Conduct structural and thermal analyses, including Finite Element (FE) modeling, to ensure performance and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with electrical, software, and systems engineering.
  • Support prototyping, testing, and practical assembly of mechanical systems and mechanisms.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience working in highly regulated environments, ideally in aerospace or space sectors.
  • Strong understanding of structural and/or thermal analysis and FE modeling.
  • Proficient in mechanical design software (CAD) and analysis tools for structural, thermal, and mathematical modeling.
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following: gears, motors, or mechanisms.
  • Practical experience in building and testing mechanical systems and mechanisms.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency with MS Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
