We are supporting a leading quantum computing company in Oxford that is pushing trapped-ion technology towards larger, more powerful and commercially scalable systems.
They are looking to add a Staff FPGA Engineer to take a senior technical role within their FPGA team.
This is a highly technical, hands-on position where you'll architect and develop critical signal processing and control functions.
You'll work across RTL design, verification, modelling, hardware testing, and system-level debugging, collaborating closely with electronics, software, and quantum engineering teams.
- They are looking for a Staff FPGA Engineer with the following background:
- 10+ years of hands-on FPGA development experience
- Strong RTL design and verification using System Verilog, Verilog, or VHDL
- Extensive FPGA-based DSP experience, including DDC/DUC, DDS and FIR/IIR filtering
- Experience with Xilinx Ultra Scale+ MPSo C platforms
- Modelling and simulation using Python, MATLAB, or Simulink
- Strong verification experience including code and functional coverage
- Hands-on hardware debugging using JTAG, ILA, oscilloscopes and other lab equipment
Experience with JESD204B, ADC/DAC interfaces, DDR3/4, 10Gb Ethernet, digital control algorithms, embedded Linux, or ASIC development would be advantageous.
