An innovative photonics company based in Oxford is seeking a talented PIC Test Engineer to support the testing, characterization, and validation of next-generation photonic integrated circuits. The role will focus on developing and executing PIC test and characterization strategies, working closely with design, fabrication, and packaging teams to understand device performance and drive improvements.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and execute PIC test and characterization plans
- Perform optical and electrical measurements on photonic devices and circuits
- Develop automated test setups and measurement procedures
- Analyse test data and identify performance trends and failure mechanisms
- Support wafer-level and packaged-device testing
- Work closely with design and process teams to improve device performance and yield
