We are seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our clients growing engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative, high-quality products, supporting development from early concept through to production and ongoing product improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components, systems, and assemblies
- Support analysis activities, including thermal, structural, and system-level performance considerations
- Contribute to New Product Introduction (NPI) programmes and continuous product improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering
- Support prototyping, physical builds, and hands-on testing activities within R&D
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to engineering decision-making processes
Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in CAD design, ideally using SolidWorks
- Good understanding of at least one core engineering discipline, with awareness of others:
- Mechanical systems
- Thermal systems
- Electrical systems
- Knowledge of thermal and/or structural analysis techniques
- Previous experience in product improvement and engineering change processes
- Experience working within a regulated or controlled engineering environment (e.g. aerospace, medical, automotive, defence, or similar)
