An opportunity to take ownership of manufacturing at a high-growth Oxford-based technology startup developing advanced hardware.
The technology is already through R&D and prototype development. The next challenge is establishing the robust, scalable manufacturing capability needed to take it into production — and this role will be central to making that happen.
You'll have significant ownership in developing manufacturing processes, equipment, supplier relationships, testing and production readiness, working closely with mechanical, electrical and thermal engineering teams.
You'll bring:
- 5+ years' experience in an advanced manufacturing environment, such as power electronics, robotics, precision engineering, aerospace, automotive or similar
- A degree in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline
- A proven track record of taking manufacturing processes, equipment or automation from concept through to operation
- Strong knowledge of Design for Manufacture (DfM) and Design for Assembly (DfA)
- Hands-on experience with robotics, tooling and/or custom automation
- Experience working with external manufacturing partners and suppliers
- Strong mechanical and electrical engineering capability
This is an opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and building things from the ground up. You'll have the autonomy to shape manufacturing capability, influence engineering decisions and play a key role in taking an advanced product from prototype into production.
