A Head of Electronics is required to join a growing technology company developing advanced sensor systems. The Head of Electronics will take ownership of electronic system architecture and delivery across complex hardware platforms. This role offers hands-on technical leadership with responsibility from concept through to validated product.
Responsibilities
- Own hardware architecture, schematic design and PCB development for vision and sensing systems
- Lead electronics development across prototypes, verification and production readiness
- Work closely with software, firmware and mechanical teams on full system integration
- Support high-speed digital interfaces, power systems and sensor integration
- Drive design reviews, technical decisions and hardware roadmap planning
- Mentor engineers while remaining hands-on with design and validation
Requirements
- Strong background in electronic hardware design for complex embedded or vision systems
- Proven experience with schematic capture, PCB layout and board-level bring-up
- Understanding of high-speed digital, mixed-signal or power electronics
- Excellent academic background, typically a strong degree from a leading university in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
- Ability to operate as a technical authority within a small, fast-moving team
