We are seeking a Mechanical Team Lead to join a high-performing engineering team developing cutting-edge, complex technology products. This role is centred on technical leadership, guiding, mentoring, and enabling a team of engineers while remaining closely involved in hands-on design and engineering delivery.
You will act as the technical cornerstone of the team, driving engineering best practice, setting direction, and ensuring high-quality execution across multi-disciplinary development programmes.

- Proven experience leading and developing engineering teams within a mechanical design environment.

- Experience working with precision engineering and complex assemblies, including optical systems integration.
- Strong knowledge of design for manufacture, including precision machined and sheet metal components.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks; experience with FEA or flow simulation is advantageous.
- Highly capable hands-on engineer with the ability to guide others through complex technical challenges.
