Mechanical Design Engineer
I am currently working with a great company who specialise in designing and manufacturing advanced RF components. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll lead mechanical engineering efforts for cutting-edge microwave and RF subsystem projects, contributing to the development of high-performance products used in a variety of sectors. The main purpose of the role is to provide end-to-end mechanical engineering leadership for microwave and RF subsystem projects. Joining this company as a Mechanical Design Engineer presents the opportunity to work on innovative projects within a collaborative and growth-oriented environment, contributing to the advancement of RF and microwave technologies.
The Mechanical Design Engineer’s Role:
- Create models and drawings using 3D CAD in Solidworks
- Responsible for the management and control of engineering drawings and documents
- Compile manufacturing documentation and support reliability analysis and testing
- Manage changes through the ECN procedures
- Investigate new suppliers for existing and new technologies for cost reduction
- Deploy manufacturing documentation using the current systems in place
- Responsible for the upkeep and improvement of existing generic processes, maintenance, and standards documentation
Experience needed for this Mechanical Design Engineer:
- Experience with 3D CAD in Solidworks
- Degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering
- 2D and 3D Solid modelling experience
- Knowledge of machining, casting, moulding, coating, and plating processes
- ISO and BS standards
- Highly motivated individual able to interface effectively with internal and external customers
