We’re working with a pioneering engineering team developing next-generation hardware designed to survive in harshest environments. As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the development of ruggedised hardware systems engineered for extreme climates and remote operation. You’ll be involved across the full product lifecycle, contributing to the design, development, testing, and validation of complex mechanical systems that must perform flawlessly under severe thermal and mechanical stress.
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline
- Strong experience in mechanical product development from concept through to production
- Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD packages such as Siemens NX, SolidWorks, or similar PDM-managed environments
- Good understanding of DfMA, materials selection, thermal considerations, and structural/mechanical design
- Hands-on experience building, prototyping, and testing hardware alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Experience working with environmental testing, thermal chambers, or harsh-environment
