We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client's growing aerospace engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of high‑precision mechanical systems used in cutting‑edge aerospace applications. You will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver robust, reliable, and manufacturable solutions for demanding environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop high‑precision mechanical assemblies for aerospace systems and components.
- Create detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks, ensuring compliance with aerospace drawing standards.
- Perform FEA simulations (structural, thermal, flow) to validate performance under aerospace operating conditions.
- Collaborate with manufacturing partners to ensure designs are optimised for CNC machining, assembly, and aerospace‑grade reliability.
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams in electronics, RF, and systems engineering.
Experience Required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Strong proficiency with 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred).
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
- Practical experience with FEA tools.
- Excellent understanding of GD&T and engineering drawing standards.
- Knowledge of high‑volume manufacturing processes.
