The role operates on a hybrid basis, with an expectation of approximately 2 days per week in London, although travel across the UK will form a significant part of the position. Following recent expansion of its remit, the organisation is taking a leading role in shaping future technology skills pathways, workforce planning and industry engagement initiatives.

As the Skills & Workforce Manager, you’ll help bridge the gap between technical industry needs and skills policy, ensuring workforce programmes remain relevant to the rapidly evolving semiconductor and deep‑tech landscape.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the development of workforce and skills initiatives.
  • Working with industry, academia and government stakeholders to identify future skills requirements.
  • Helping shape curriculum guidance, training pathways and workforce development programmes.
  • Coordinating industry advisory groups, stakeholder engagements and ecosystem activities.
  • Supporting research, skills forecasting and workforce mapping across the UK semiconductor sector.
  • Delivering presentations, workshops and industry‑facing events.
  • Building relationships with employers, universities, training providers and government bodies.
  • Supporting the development of tools and resources that improve visibility of technical training and CPD opportunities.
