I am seeking a Silicon Verification Engineer to play a key role in the development of next-generation semiconductor products designed to accelerate artificial intelligence and machine learning workloads. As part of a highly collaborative engineering team, you will contribute to the verification of complex digital systems while working closely with architecture, modelling, and RTL design teams. This role offers the opportunity to influence product quality from the earliest stages of development, contributing to specification reviews, architecture discussions, and the evolution of verification methodologies. The successful candidate will thrive in an environment focused on technical excellence, innovation, and rapid product development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive verification plans based on product specifications and architectural requirements.
  • Design, implement, and maintain verification environments and testbenches for complex digital hardware blocks used in AI and high-performance computing applications.
  • Create stimulus generators, functional models, checkers, and verification infrastructure to ensure robust functional validation.
  • Define, measure, and achieve functional and code coverage goals.
  • Perform RTL debugging and waveform analysis to identify and resolve functional issues.
  • Collaborate closely with architecture, modelling, and RTL design teams to ensure alignment on functional correctness and product requirements.
  • Contribute to specification reviews and architecture discussions, helping shape the development of advanced AI-focused silicon products.
  • Drive continuous improvements in verification methodologies, automation, and development workflows.
  • Support the adoption of software engineering best practices within hardware development processes.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong experience in pre-silicon RTL verification.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute verification strategies from specification through coverage closure.
  • Experience developing verification environments, testbenches, stimulus, functional models, and checkers.
  • Strong software development skills, with proficiency in Python preferred.
  • Solid understanding of digital hardware design concepts.
  • Ability to read, understand, and debug RTL written in SystemVerilog.
  • Experience analysing simulation results and debugging using waveform viewers.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience with Transaction-Level Modelling (TLM) methodologies, including UVM, SystemC, or equivalent frameworks.
  • Knowledge of SystemVerilog Assertions.
  • Familiarity with open-source silicon development tools and workflows.
  • Experience with verification frameworks such as Cocotb.
  • Familiarity with simulation and verification tools.
  • Knowledge of formal verification methodologies.
  • Experience working in integrated hardware/software development environments.
  • Familiarity with modern build and automation systems.
  • Exposure to AI accelerators, machine learning hardware, high-performance computer architectures, or data-centre infrastructure.

This is a unique opportunity for you to apply a software-oriented mindset to solving hardware verification challenges and be excited by the opportunity to contribute to technology that enables the next generation of AI and machine learning systems. And will suit you if you are motivated by working in a high-impact role within a growing engineering organisation and be able to challenge conventional development approaches and seek opportunities for innovation.

Why Join?

This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge silicon technology that will help shape the future of AI infrastructure. You will contribute to products at the intersection of semiconductors, software, and machine learning, while working alongside experienced engineers in a highly collaborative environment. The role offers significant technical ownership, exposure to advanced hardware architectures, and the chance to influence the development of products designed to push the boundaries of AI performance and efficiency.
