Overview
An exciting opportunity for a Senior Dev Sec Ops Engineer with a leading mission-critical telecommunications company, based in London.
The right to work in the UK without sponsorship is essential for this vacancy.
Eligibility for SC clearance is also required.
Hybrid role – 3 days per week in the London office.
This is a senior, hands-on engineering role requiring an experienced Dev Sec Ops and platform engineer who has operated complex systems in production.
You will personally design, build, secure, deploy, and operate mission-critical systems where downtime, misconfiguration, or security failures have real-world consequences.
Responsibilities
- Security & Dev Sec Ops
- Apply OS, container, and application hardening aligned with UK security standards.
- Actively operate SELinux in enforcing mode.
- Integrate SAST, dependency scanning, and image scanning into CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and remediation.
- Core Platform
- Build and operate hardened Red Hat Enterprise Linux platforms across geo-redundant datacentres.
- Automate infrastructure using Ansible, Bash, and Python at scale.
- Design and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines well beyond template configuration.
- Operate Kubernetes and Open Shift platforms, including security, networking, and failure recovery.
- Run Pacemaker/Corosync clusters and diagnose split-brain, fencing, and quorum issues.
- Configure HAProxy in active/active and active/passive configurations.
- Design platform-level routing using BGP/BFD (FRR or equivalent).
- Design and implement RESTful APIs in Go and Python used in live systems.
- Key skills and experience
- In-depth commercial expertise in a production Dev Sec Ops / Dev Ops / Platform role.
- Strong, demonstrable Red Hat Enterprise Linux experience.
- Production Go and Python backend development.
- Kubernetes or Open Shift operational responsibility.
- Experience in regulated, audited, or mission-critical environments.
