We are seeking an Analog IC Design Manager to join our rapidly scaling semiconductor company at the forefront of high-speed connectivity. With an office in Hampshire, our client offers hybrid working (2 days per week in the office every two weeks).

Working on challenging high-speed designs in 16nm FinFET CMOS, our client is in an exciting phase of expansion, seeing strong and growing customer traction particularly within the AI and high-performance computing sectors. They now seek an Analog IC Design Manager to head up the UK design team; a role that combines deep technical ownership with people management, and offers the chance to shape next-generation analog/mixed-signal IP in a fast-moving, high-impact environment.

The Analog IC Design Manager will:

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of ~10 analog IC design and layout engineers, fostering a high-performance and collaborative engineering culture.
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of analog/mixed-signal IP blocks, from architecture definition through design, verification, layout, and silicon validation.
  • Provide technical leadership on high-speed analog design in advanced CMOS nodes, ensuring best-in-class performance, power, and area optimisation.
  • Drive design reviews and set technical direction.
  • Support future recruitment, onboarding, and development of engineering talent as the team grows.

We’re looking for a talented technical leader, with:

  • Proven experience within analog or mixed-signal IC design, with a strong background in high-speed design environments.
  • Solid leadership experience managing and developing engineering teams.
  • Deep understanding of the full analog IC design flow, including architecture, schematic design, simulation, layout, and silicon bring-up.
  • Strong knowledge of high-speed circuits such as SerDes, data converters, clocking, or interface IP for example.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
