An innovative semiconductor company is seeking a Lead Physical Design Engineer to support the delivery of next-generation, low-power Wi-Fi SoCs used in high-volume consumer devices. This is a key backend position offering significant technical ownership and the opportunity to take on a leadership role within a growing engineering team.

Working closely with cross-functional engineering teams, you will drive RTL-to-GDSII implementation while helping to shape methodologies, influence project direction and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality silicon. This role is ideal for an experienced Physical Design Engineer looking to take the next step in their career and develop their leadership responsibilities while remaining highly hands-on.

What They Are Looking For

  • Strong academic background in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience across full backend/physical design flows in advanced CMOS technologies.
  • Strong understanding of timing closure methodologies and sign-off requirements.
  • Experience with low-power implementation techniques for battery-operated or power-sensitive products.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard EDA tools and scripting languages such as Tcl, Python or Shell.
  • Ability to take ownership of complex technical challenges and drive solutions independently.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with an interest in mentoring others and contributing to technical leadership within the team.
