Our client is seeking an excellent trainee Mechanical Engineer to join their team to develop their ultra-low propulsion satellites. This is an exciting opportunity to start your career with one of the best, the role will be incredibly rewarding whilst also challenging, this is not your regular 9-5 job and our client are looking for top performing juniors, who can excel in solving never-before-solved challenges! The Junior Mechanical Engineer will assist in the design and development of mechanical components and systems for satellite applications, focusing on structural integrity, thermal management, and reliability.

Responsibilities That The Junior Mechanical Engineer Will Undertake:

  • Support the integration of mechanical systems within propulsion technology, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance

  • Input on the testing and validation of mechanical systems, analysing performance data to ensure compliance with mission requirements

  • Improve your own technical and professional skills through hands-on experience

  • Solve complex challenges, contribute to innovative technology, and play a role in the deployment of this incredible project!

  • Educational background – Top grades with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field

  • Mechanical Engineering – Experience in university projects involving mechanical systems, an interest in space engineering

  • A desire – To contribute to the future of satellite technology

  • Hands-On Experience – Practical experience in mechanical prototyping, lab work, and testing is essential
