An innovative semiconductor company developing advanced security IP for next‑generation connected devices is seeking an experienced Digital Design Engineer to strengthen their hardware security development team. The role focuses on designing efficient digital architectures for cryptographic functions, secure subsystems, and hardware trust features tailored for highly resource‑constrained environments.

As a Digital Design Engineer, you will work across the full digital design lifecycle, collaborating with hardware and embedded software teams to deliver secure, robust, and efficient hardware implementations.

Responsibilities would include:

  • Develop and verify digital hardware modules for security‑critical applications, optimised for power, area, and memory
  • Implement cryptographic algorithms and security primitives in hardware (such as AES, SHA, TRNGs)
  • Apply secure‑design techniques and side‑channel‑resistant implementation strategies.
  • Create designs suitable for both ASIC and FPGA targets
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to refine system requirements and specifications

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience in 3+ successful tapeouts
  • Strong understanding of cryptographic algorithms and hardware architectures
  • Proficiency in Verilog/VHDL, verification methodologies, and timing analysis
  • Knowledge of Post‑Quantum Cryptography concepts is highly desirable
  • Experience with RISC‑V microarchitectures is highly desirable
  • Background in secure hardware architectures such as Root of Trust or Secure Elements is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities

This is a great opportunity for a Digital Design Engineer who wants to work on security‑focused hardware developments with real‑world impact across a broad range of embedded and connected devices.
