Our Manchester based client is currently searching for a Failure Analysis Engineer to join the Quality department. The role will involve analysing product failures at the device and system levels to determine underlying causes. Assisting customers with product failures will be part of the role as well as creating comprehensive reports that detail failure modes, root causes, and corrective actions. Supporting yield management will also be an important part of the role.
Required skills for the Failure Analysis Engineer will include:
- Experience with semiconductor failure analysis techniques (SEM, EDX, X-ray, OBIRCH, FIB etc)
- Semiconductor device knowledge and component level experience
- Strong analytical skills and communication skills
- Degree in Electronics or Engineering: A strong academic background in electronics, physics, semiconductor physics or a related field
