I am seeking an experienced AI practitioner to lead the architecting and modelling of cutting‑edge, ultra‑fast and efficient AI Accelerators. You will use your extensive knowledge of AI / ML algorithms to make specific recommendations on what software and tools to provision to end users of the AI Accelerators – ensuring ease of use and successful deployment of AI models. For this position, you must work 3 days onsite in Oxfordshire and will be joining a multifaceted team spanning hardware, software, and AI / ML algorithms.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of software frameworks and libraries optimised for the AI processor architecture, including low‑level drivers and runtime environments.
  • Work closely with your hardware architect counterpart to understand the design and capabilities of the next‑gen AI processor architecture.
  • Lead the development of simulation models of AI Accelerator.
  • Analyse the performance of different AI models on the AI Accelerator.

Required Experience

  • Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, or Electronics.
  • Experience with relevant tools and libraries for AI model quantization, compression, and optimisation to maximise performance on specialised hardware.
  • Strong understanding of hardware‑software co‑design principles, including memory hierarchy optimisation, cache management, and hardware / software partitioning.
  • Knowledge of parallel computing principles and experience with parallel programming models (MPI, OpenMP) for distributed AI processing.
  • Deep understanding of AI model architectures, algorithms, and frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and their integration with specialised hardware platforms.
