A leading semiconductor company specialising in power management IC solutions is seeking a Staff Analog IC Design Engineer to join its Design Centre in Edinburgh, UK. This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to provide technical leadership on full-chip designs or major system-level blocks, driving projects from initial specification through to production ramp. You will play a key role in the development of Analog and Mixed-Signal integrated circuits, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product definition and architectural development
  • System- and component-level simulation and design validation
  • Layout oversight and verification
  • Prototype evaluation and silicon bring-up
  • Test specification development and support for Test Engineering

We Are Looking For

An experienced Analog IC Design Engineer with several years of industrial experience in Analog or Mixed-Signal IC design, ideally within power management.

Required Experience (some or all of the following)

  • High-performance LDO design
  • Feedback control systems and compensation techniques
  • Bandgap reference design and biasing techniques
  • PWM or hysteretic power controllers, including buck, boost, inverting, or non-inverting buck-boost topologies
  • Regulated or unregulated charge pump circuits
