This is a new opportunity for an Analog IC Design Manager to join a globally successful Semiconductor company based in Edinburgh. Boasting one of the nicest spots in Edinburgh city centre, our client is growing their Analog team in several areas and has a need for an experienced Analog Manager to take the reins.

The Analog IC Design Manager will:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of analog and mixed-signal IC design engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering leadership to align technical resources with product and business objectives.
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance on product architecture, design strategy, and development priorities.
  • Drive engineering best practices, design reviews, verification methodologies, and quality standards across the team.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration with verification, layout, test, product engineering, and quality teams to ensure successful product development and release.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and career development planning.
  • Contribute to hiring, performance management, and overall team growth.

A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with an extensive background in analog and mixed-signal IC development.

Previous experience leading, mentoring, and developing engineering teams in a semiconductor environment.

Broad understanding of the complete IC development lifecycle, including design, verification, layout, packaging, test, product engineering, and quality.

Strong communication, customer interaction, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.

Passion for developing people and building high-performing engineering teams.
