Chief Architect - OS / Operating Systems

This is a high level role – you will be working as the Chief Architect, tasked with technical leadership and being instrumental in hardware and software development for brand new technology!

Working for a major global technology provider, you will have responsibility for developing a brand new operating system to rival iOS and Android, that will be used in mobile, car, laptop and home application systems!

Salary levels are open & flexible – and are dependent on candidate requirements.

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

• Degree / Masters / PHD in relevant field e.g. micro-electronics OR software development
• ASIC design and architecture
• Chip development / SOC architecture
• Hardware – software co-design
• device integration
• Understanding of mobile / RF connectivity requirements
• Significant knowledge of iOS and/or Android OS / MAC-OS
• Deep understanding of operating systems and their underpinning architecture
• Embedded device drivers / firmware within a complete OS
• Linux / RTOS
• Kernel development / drivers / AOSP
• C / C++
• Comoplete mobile operating systems or similar.

Experience from Apple / Samsung – Tizen / Blackberry / RIM / Symbian / ARM / Qualcomm / Nokia / ST-Ericsson (or similar related companies) – in a device / OS team.
