As the Technical Programme Manager, you’ll take ownership of multiple R&D and commercial programmes, ensuring projects remain aligned, funded work is delivered successfully, and technical teams have the structure needed to execute effectively.
Responsibilities include:- Leading multiple grant-funded and commercial technology programmes simultaneously.
- Coordinating engineers, consortium partners, suppliers and external stakeholders.
- Building realistic delivery plans, milestones, risk registers and reporting frameworks.
- Working closely with technical leads to challenge assumptions and identify delivery risks early.
- Supporting Innovate UK and collaborative R&D programme delivery, reporting and governance.
- Mentoring and supporting graduate engineers as the organisation continues to grow.
- Helping create scalable programme management processes within a startup environment.
- Experience managing R&D or technology development programmes in a deep-tech environment.
- Strong understanding of engineering development lifecycles and technical project realities.
- Experience with Innovate UK, CR&D or other grant-funded programmes is highly desirable.
