Electronics | Hardware | FPGA Design Contracts
I am supporting a client based in Bristol who is looking for a PCB Design Engineer to join their team on a contract basis as soon as possible.
This role will focus on PCB layout and design for multi-layer, high-speed digital boards, supporting the delivery of complex electronic hardware projects. You will work closely with engineering teams to deliver high-quality PCB designs from concept through to release.
Key responsibilities
- PCB layout and design for multi-layer boards
- High-speed digital PCB routing and implementation
- Full PCB layout and design execution across the project lifecycle
- PCB library management and component creation/maintenance
- Working closely with hardware and engineering teams to deliver design requirements
- Supporting manufacturability, design quality, and documentation activities
- Use of Siemens Xpedition for PCB design and layout activities
Key requirements
- Strong experience in PCB design and layout
- Experience with multi-layer and high-speed digital PCB design
- Experience managing PCB libraries and components
- Ability to work independently within a collaborative engineering environment
- Strong attention to detail and design quality standards
- 6-month contract
- Onsite in Bristol for the first month (3 days per week)
- Remote working available thereafter
- Immediate start preferred
