I am seeking a Senior or Principal Digital Engineer to join a leading design centre that develops integrated circuits and MEMS solutions for a wide range of applications, working closely with customers to take designs from specification through to qualified silicon. The engineering team is multidisciplinary, pushing the bounds of their experience to deliver each new project.

Reporting to the ASIC Design Manager, the Senior/Principal Digital Design Engineer will be responsible for technical leadership, high-level simulation, and block-level design of mixed-signal ASICs. The ideal candidate will have a background in Digital design but be who can also handle mixed-signal integration.

General Responsibilities:
  • Participate in and lead block specification, design, verification, and documentation.
  • Contribute to architectural design, system-level simulation, and abstract modelling of analog and digital blocks.
  • Lead small engineering teams.
  • Serve as technical lead on IC development projects.
  • Engage with customers to understand and refine requirements, identify technical constraints, lead feasibility studies, develop architectures, and provide internal cost estimates.
  • Support or lead broader technical activities such as silicon verification, qualification, failure analysis, and production test design.
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Degree in Physics or Engineering (Master’s level or higher, e.g. PhD, preferred).
  • Extensive experience in block- and system-level IC design and verification, including technical leadership on successful design cycles.
  • Proficiency in system-level modelling languages (e.g., VHDL, Verilog).
  • Proficiency in scripting.
