I am working with a new opportunity for an Analog IC Layout Engineer based in Cambridge. My client is a fascinating Semiconductor start-up in the wireless space.

Working within a newly-created Analog IC design team, the Analog IC Layout Engineer will translate schematic designs into layout solutions to achieve the specification and project schedule. Going forward, this role will also involve IC Design work, and so would really suit someone with a background in IC Layout who’s keen to develop their skills in design also. Being a small team, my client offers a fast-paced, dynamic working environment in which you will be required to wear different hats.

Responsibilities

  • Translate schematic designs into layout solutions to meet specifications and project schedule (as part of a newly-created Analog IC design team)
  • Potentially perform IC Design work as the role evolves
  • Collaborate in a small, fast-paced environment with flexibility to wear different hats

Experience / qualifications

  • DRC and LVS
  • Cadence IC design suite of tools
  • Analog/Mixed Signal IC design skills/knowledge
  • Parasitic extraction and evaluation
  • Layout of block level designs from scratch, including schematic capture and simulation
