My client is looking for a Packaging Technical Manager, to be focused on semiconductor laser diode packaging. The Packaging Technical Manager role would cover R&D and production, and provides an opportunity within solid-state laser development. This is an onsite position based in Warwickshire.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of semiconductor laser diode packaging capabilities
- Manage projects, timelines and technical delivery
- Provide leadership to packaging engineering team
- Design and develop high-power semiconductor laser diode products
- Oversee expansion of production and manufacturing capability
- Improve and optimise packaging and manufacturing processes
- Develop and implement quality control processes
- Establish systems for production data and record keeping
- Support production with packaging and process-related issues
Requirements
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams
- In-depth knowledge of semiconductor packaging processes and materials
- Understanding of quality control and manufacturing principles
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience using Python and Excel
