Are you passionate about education and making a real difference in the classroom? We are looking for a confident, reliable and flexible Cover Supervisor to join our team.
About the role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you'll step into the classroom during teacher absences to ensure continuity of learning. Whilst you won’t be required to plan or mark work, you’ll play a vital role in managing classroom behaviour, delivering pre-set lessons and keeping students engaged and on task.
Key responsibilities:
- Supervising classes during short-term teacher absences, including registration periods
- Delivering lessons prepared by teaching staff
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively
- Supporting, facilitating and encouraging students in their learning
- Reporting back on lesson outcomes
We’re looking for someone who:
- Can demonstrate the same level of professionalism and dedication as teaching staff
- Enjoys working with young people
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Has a calm and confident approach to managing classroom behaviour
- Has a high standard of literacy and numeracy and good IT skills.
