Join us at Ibstock PLC as a Dual‑Skilled Apprentice Engineer and take your first step towards becoming a fully qualified engineer. This 4‑year programme will equip you with a Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship, while offering you hands‑on experience, mentorship from industry experts, and a competitive salary.
What We Offer:
- Starting salary: £21,415.68 per annum, with yearly pay increases upon successful completion of each year.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting our engineering team with the maintenance of plant equipment and preventative tasks.
- Studying a range of subjects, including Electronic Fault Finding, Features and Applications of Electrical Machines, and Principles and Operations of Three‑Phase Systems.
- Studying Mechanical units such as Maintaining Mechanical Equipment and Mechanical Fault Diagnosis to build your expertise in both electrical and mechanical engineering.
- Developing key computer skills, as you’ll input data into our maintenance system and help analyse production data.
Who We’re Looking For:
- 5 GCSEs at Grade 4‑9 (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and Science.
- A genuine interest in engineering and a desire to learn.
- A full UK driving licence (advantageous but not essential).
