To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Facade Engineer to come and join our team. This role can be based in London or Leicestershire.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Develop and then manage a team to deliver technical designs using Ibstock products to customers for all product lines, meeting required specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and develop a team to provide 2nd line support, handling customer technical enquiries on projects.
  • Manage the team to liaise and build relationships with customers in planning and execution stages of projects to plan, agree and execute delivery packages with schedules.
  • Define, agree and implement standard systems for design and storage of technical information with appropriate levels of access for colleagues.
  • Define, agree, implement and maintain sets of standard CAD details and BIM Objects for all products and systems, ensuring appropriate access for colleagues and customers.
  • Support the team in providing configurators, panelisation and quotation tools to enable rapid and accurate project schedules and quotes.
  • Ensure the Team have the suitable skills, knowledge, experience and behaviour to complete their work in line with BSA, maintain a log of this and where required ensure appropriate development is planned and carried out.
  • Software and hardware management for design and technical team - ensuring that the correct hardware and software are used to complete the team's objectives.
  • Recommend upgrades for licences. Maintain record of software & hardware against personnel.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree qualified in an engineering construction discipline or appropriate equivalent experience.
  • 5 years’ experience within façade engineering.
  • Experience and ability to manage people and teams.
  • Ability to prioritise a sizeable workload whilst delivering on key commitments.
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
