Responsibilities
- Respond to customer enquiries, pricing requests, delivery information and samples by telephone.
- Check addresses, pricing, discounts, product and haulage availability.
- Enter quotations, sales orders, sample requests and schedules.
- Investigate credit requests and additional invoices.
- Prepare credit notes.
- Liaise with the transport order book and schedule clearance; check acknowledgements.
- Execute soft-sales activities, working with external teams and customers to promote stocks and increase sales.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Good interpersonal and communication skills – verbal and written.
- Evidence of working as part of an effective team.
- Participation in training events that may require travel and overnight stays.
- Excellent telephone manner and accurate keyboard skills.
- Flexible, enthusiastic and able to work under pressure using own initiative.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications including email, Excel and Word.
- Full driving licence.
