We are looking for talented Engineers to become an integral part of our new, exciting, state-of-the-art net-zero factory with Ibstock Plc. Join the Ibstock team, and take your place leading the way as an exemplar of British Manufacturing and global environmental best practice in the construction products sector.
Our new factory will be something very new and different, highly automated with significant investment having been made in some of the latest technological innovations and it will be able to produce more than 47 million brick slips every single year! However, building the factory is only part of the story because in order to bring it to life, we need to find the very best people to work in it!
JOB PURPOSE
As an Multi Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for plant wide proactive and reactive maintenance activities, to ensure the optimum performance of the factory.
ROLE OVERVIEW
- Work with the factory team to implement the strategic plan for the site.
- Utilise a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to facilitate planned preventative maintenance and stock control.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance, inspections, service and repairs.
- Carry out reactive maintenance activities as required.
- Ensure all relevant data is recorded accurately.
- Application of the Ibstock Management System (IMS) to generate and facilitate continuous improvement practices across all areas of the manufacturing facility to optimise capability.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Has knowledge of current Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation in a manufacturing workplace.
- Is an outstanding team player, who is flexible and meets challenge with a pragmatic and resilient approach.
- Has the ability to fault find, repair and provide solutions to problems.
- Is able to use IT systems effectively.
Desirable
- Is experienced in working in a preventative planned maintenance environment.
- Has experience of maintaining large engineering plant and equipment:
- Maintaining electrical, and mechanical equipment,
- Carrying out fault diagnosis on electrical, and mechanical equipment and circuits,
- Modifying or rewiring electrical circuits,
- Carrying out fault diagnosis on fluid power equipment and circuits,
- Siemens PLC Fault Finding,
- Inverter/Drive awareness and configuration,
- Condition monitoring of plant and equipment,
- Basis fabrication skills,
- Maintaining Conveyor systems.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3) in Electrical Maintenance (or equivalent).
- Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3) in Mechanical Maintenance (or equivalent).
- Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3) in Electro Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
