Group role supporting recruitment across Ibstock's UK sites, functions and levels.

We are looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Manager to lead and develop our recruitment function across the business. Reporting to the Head of Talent and Capability Development, you will combine strategic leadership with hands-on delivery, creating a high-quality, commercially focused recruitment service that meets our immediate and future workforce needs. You will be the central point of accountability and expertise for Talent Acquisition, developing and delivering a clear one-to-three-year roadmap. You will strengthen direct recruitment capability, improve hiring manager ownership, optimise external partnerships and reduce unnecessary agency dependency. You will also personally lead senior, specialist and business-critical appointments and manage and develop a Talent Acquisition Specialist.

What you’ll do

• Lead and coordinate end-to-end recruitment activity, establishing clear service standards, governance and ownership.
• Develop attraction, direct sourcing and market-mapping strategies for roles across our operational, support and specialist functions.
• Lead senior and business-critical recruitment assignments from briefing through to offer.
• Own the recruitment Preferred Supplier List and actively manage agency cost, quality, performance and compliance.
• Create practical self-service tools, guidance and inclusive selection frameworks for hiring managers.
• Use recruitment data to improve time to hire, cost, source effectiveness, candidate experience and service performance.
• Coach and develop the Talent Acquisition Specialist, managing priorities across the function.

What you’ll bring

• Proven experience in a recruitment leadership, lead or senior Talent Acquisition role, with the confidence to operate autonomously.
• Strong end-to-end recruitment experience across varied role types, including senior, specialist and business-critical appointments.
• Experience of owning and managing recruitment agencies or a Preferred Supplier List, including commercial and performance management.
• A track record of developing direct sourcing approaches and practical hiring manager self-service tools.
• Credibility and confidence to influence, advise and constructively challenge stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to turn recruitment data into action while managing competing priorities.
• A proactive, resourceful approach and the ability to build effective solutions in an evolving environment.
• A full driving licence and willingness to travel nationally when required.

It would be great if you also have

• Experience gained in manufacturing, construction, engineering or another multi-site operational environment.
• Experience of recruitment technology and applicant tracking systems.
