Newcastle under Lyme, ST5 6BH The successful applicant will be a member of a multi-functional production/TPM team aiming to achieve key targets within the departmental environment, thereby helping to deliver Cost, Quality and Efficiency benefits to the Quarry and Factories supplied with materials from the quarry. Hours of work will be based around a 4.5 day working week, 4 days between Mon to Friday 06.00 to 16:15, Saturday Morning 06.00 to 13:00 hrs and including 0.5 hour unpaid meal break. The operative will be required to work occasional Saturday mornings, depending on the quarries work load and plenty of overtime is available. Specific responsibilities include: The operation of a 360? Excavator blending clays from stockpile faces and moving materials as directed The operation of a wheeled front end loader, loading materials into Lorries for delivery into the factories. Ensuring that high quality raw material of the appropriate consistency is sent to the factory. The operation of a wheeled tractor with the following attachments: - Water bowser Brush Loading forks Front end loading bucket Salt / Grit Spreader Operation of weighbridge and water treatment plant. Ensuring all the plant and equipment in use within the quarry is checked and maintained (Creating and maintaining the highest standards of housekeeping and environmental management Ensure areas are inspected / maintained in accordance with local Health & Safety Standards and work within Standard Safe Operating Procedures To deliver through the process of TPM plant improvement initiatives and continuous improvement Assist in the development of SSOP\'s and Risk Assessments Complete appropriate quality assessments Essential Qualifications & Experience: Must be happy to work outdoors in all conditions Self-motivated.
