To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a Logistics Manager to come and join our team at our Factory in Dewsbury.

The successful applicant will be a member of a multi-functional leadership team to achieve key targets within the departmental environment, thereby helping to deliver Cost, Quality and Efficiency benefits to the Factory.

The main requirements and responsibilities of the role include:

  • Managing a team of loading operators
  • Liaising with sales and customers.
  • Updating and maintaining pick tickets / despatch paperwork - ensuring full auditable compliance.
  • Management & ownership of the stock yard & loading areas
  • Working with Production to ensure the correct production of required products
  • Working to SSOP’s with safe and precise working practices at all times
  • General maintenance and Housekeeping.
  • High degree of Health and Safety and environmental awareness
  • Manage month end stock & quarterly full finished good stock takes
  • Leadership role - so leading by example

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Reading, writing ability and numeric skills.
  • Good level of Computing skills
  • Flexible and self motivated working attitude
  • Good vision
  • Ability to work as part of a team or on your own.
  • Good timekeeping and attendance records.
  • Team Working attitude and good communication skills

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience of a modern manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of concrete products / T-Beams (desirable)
  • Understanding of concrete manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of the principles of Continuous Improvement

Training & Development:

  • Counterbalance forklift operation to Company standards
  • Product knowledge
