Design Estimator

We are seeking a Design Estimator to join our team at the Dewsbury Office (WF12 9EF).

Responsibilities:

• Determine product requirements and produce suitable drawings in response to customer enquiries.
• Deliver increased sales and improved profitability through specifications within the building products sector.
• Develop new and existing customer relationships to maximise the full potential of all accounts within the territory.
• Answer technical customer queries via e‑mail, telephone and in‑person visits.
• Manage project administration, ensuring drawings, correspondence and other project documents are filed and maintained.
• Deliver customer quotations within required timelines and company expectations.
• Influence and participate in ways of working within the department to maximise opportunities.
• Contact quotes weekly by telephone or e‑mail and maintain relationships.
• Keep up to date with changes in British standards and building regulations.
• Monitor project stages to keep costs within forecasts.
• Set up new customer accounts and liaise with QS’s & Buyers to settle accounts.

Qualifications:

• Strong organisational skills with the capacity to be self‑directed.
• High‑level computer proficiency, including the MS Office suite.
• Continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent listening and questioning skills.
• Professional and proactive attitude with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Positive and approachable manner.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent time‑management skills, high level of detail and ability to prioritise.
• Proven CAD/quotation experience.
