To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a Design Estimator to come and join our team at our Dewsbury Office (WF12 9EF).

Responsibilities
  • Determine product requirements and, where required, produce suitable drawings from appropriate customer enquiries.
  • Deliver increased sales and improved profitability through specification within the building products sector.
  • Develop new and existing customer relationships to maximize the full potential of all accounts within the territory.
  • Answer technical customer queries and questions via e-mail, telephone and on site visits.
  • Manage project administration, ensuring that drawings, correspondence and other project-related documents are filed and maintained.
  • Deliver customer quotations within required timelines and company expectations.
  • Be an influence and integral participant in the ways of working within the department to help maximize opportunities.
  • Weekly chase quotes via telephone & e-mail and maintain relationships.
  • Stay up to date with changes in British standards and building regulations.
  • Monitor the stages of a project to ensure that costs remain in line with forecasts.
  • Set up new customer accounts and liaise with QS’s & Buyers to help settle accounts.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to be self‑directed.
  • High level computer user including MS Office package.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent listening and questioning abilities.
  • A professional and proactive attitude with strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Positive and approachable manner.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including written and verbal formats.
  • Excellent time‑management skills, high level of detail, and ability to prioritize.
  • Proven CAD/quotation experience.
