A well-established and growing MEP building services consultancy is seeking a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer to join its team in Wokingham. The practice is known for delivering high-quality design solutions across a wide range of sectors including residential, hospitality, commercial and mixed-use developments, working alongside leading architects, developers and contractors on both new build and refurbishment projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to begin their career in building services engineering, gaining exposure to projects from concept through to completion within a supportive and collaborative team environment. You will work closely with experienced engineers and contribute to the design and coordination of electrical systems across a variety of projects.
Responsibilities- Assisting in the design of electrical building services systems
- Supporting the production of drawings, calculations and technical documentation
- Working within multidisciplinary design teams on a range of projects
- Attending site visits and project meetings where required
- Developing knowledge of industry standards, regulations and best practice
- Using design software such as AutoCAD and Revit (training provided where needed)
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
- Strong interest in building services design
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Basic understanding of design software (AutoCAD/Revit desirable but not essential)
- Structured training and mentorship from experienced engineers
- Exposure to a wide range of high-quality UK and international projects
- Clear pathway towards professional accreditation (e.g. CIBSE/IET)
