I’m currently working with a growing, design-led engineering consultancy looking to appoint a Civil Engineering Technician to join their Wakefield office. This is a great opportunity to be part of a dynamic and expanding team, working across a range of projects from concept through to completion, with a strong focus on development-led infrastructure and drainage design.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of civil engineering projects, producing high-quality technical drawings and working closely with engineers across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Producing drainage layout drawings and detailed technical designs
  • Assisting in the preparation of plans and design information
  • Supporting delivery of civil engineering projects across multiple sectors
  • Working collaboratively within a team to meet project deadlines
  • Ensuring drawings comply with current standards and project requirements

Requirements

  • 2–3+ years’ experience within an engineering consultancy
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Experience working on drainage schemes
  • Exposure to Causeway Flow or InfoDrainage (beneficial, not essential)
  • Highways or earthworks experience (desirable)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team
