We are partnering with a busy East London Local Authority that is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead a portfolio of education and commercial property projects from inception through to completion. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional with strong publicâsector experience who can confidently manage full project lifecycles, technical compliance and tender processes.
As the Electrical Project Manager, you will take ownership of a variety of electrical refurbishment, upgrade and new-build projects across schools and corporate buildings.
Responsibilities- Managing projects from feasibility and design stages through to delivery and handover
- Leading full tender management, including documentation, evaluation and contractor appointments
- Overseeing M&E consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure quality, safety and compliance
- Preparing and monitoring programmes, budgets and risk registers
- Ensuring all works align with relevant legislation, statutory requirements and borough standards
- Managing multiple concurrent projects within a fastâpaced public-sector environment
- Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager within a local authority or wider public sector setting
- Strong background in delivering projects across schools, public buildings or commercial estates
- Solid understanding of electrical compliance, building regulations, health & safety and CDM
- Confident in managing full tender processes and contractor performance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Rate: ÂŁ400 - ÂŁ450 per day
- Location: East London Borough (hybrid working available)
- Contract: Longâterm, with potential extension
- Inside IR35
