An established and growing MEP Consultancy with over 18 years of industry experience is looking to expand its mechanical team with an additional engineer based in their Kent office. The business has built a strong reputation across the UK and Europe, delivering projects across a wide range of sectors including commercial, high-end residential, hospitality, retail, education and healthcare.

This role gives you the opportunity to be part of a small, close-knit team with a genuinely collaborative culture, whilst still working on high-profile projects across the UK and Europe. Unlike larger consultancies where roles can become heavily siloed, this position offers broad exposure across all aspects of project delivery. You will have the chance to develop well-rounded experience by being involved in everything from client meetings and site visits through to project coordination, budgeting, advisory and design management — not just sitting behind a desk focused solely on design work.

The consultancy works closely with several long-standing architects, project managers, managing agents and developers, resulting in a consistent and fast-paced project pipeline. The team is ambitious, collaborative and highly driven, offering an excellent environment for engineers looking to progress their careers long term.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join a dynamic consultancy working on prestigious UK and international projects. You will become an integral part of the growing team, contributing to project success while maintaining high standards of quality, technical delivery and compliance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing early-stage Scope of Works and Performance Specifications
  • Design monitoring and detailed mechanical design
  • Project management and budgeting
  • Project coordination across multidisciplinary teams
  • Licence to Alter applications and coordination
  • Providing all-round technical and strategic client advisory services
  • Supporting project delivery from concept through to completion
  • Liaising directly with clients, contractors, consultants and stakeholders

What’s on Offer:

  • Competitive salary up to £48,000 depending on experience
  • Private medical insurance
  • £50 per month health & wellbeing allowance
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Additional holiday entitlement increasing annually up to 30 days
  • Ongoing training and professional development support
  • Clear career progression opportunities with a strong focus on internal promotion
  • Supportive and sociable working environment
  • Team events, activities and occasional company trips

Requirements:

  • UK driving licence
  • Willingness to attend the office a minimum of 3 days per week
  • Ability to travel across the UK and Europe for meetings and projects
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Motivated, proactive and career-driven approach

This role would suit an ambitious Mechanical Engineer looking to join a forward-thinking consultancy with an exciting and varied project portfolio, excellent career progression opportunities and a strong team culture.
