Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring all systems are monitored and alerts are handled appropriately.
- On-Prem & AWS systems administration, provision & secure data transfers.
- Maintaining server, storage, network, and security infrastructure through infrastructure as code.
- Writing and maintaining code for the creation of scalable/resilient systems/infrastructure/platform services.
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex issues in production environments.
Must haves:
- Prior experience using automation tools (Terraform, Cloud Formation, Ansible, Foreman, Chef, Salt, Puppet).
- Good knowledge of the various services and capabilities of cloud computing platforms; ideally AWS.
- Experience maintaining build systems, source code management; e.g., TeamCity/GitLab etc.
- Knowledge of IP Networking, DNS, and Firewalling.
- Experience with Python, Shell Scripts, and command-line tools.
- Knowledge of containerisation and related orchestration technologies.
- Demonstrable experience of remediation projects, ideally within a PCI-DSS certified environment.
- Strong verbal & written communication skills and natural willingness to collaborate across teams and organisations.
- Naturally able & productive with ITSM tools such as Jira, ServiceNow etc.
