My client, a large consultancy, is in need of a Splunk Developer for a 6‑month contract inside IR35 based in Edinburgh offering 2 days per week remote but requiring 3 days per week on‑site.
Requirements
- Splunk Enterprise – strong hands‑on experience
- Splunk ITSI – proven experience with KPI design, service modelling, Glass Tables, episode review and RCA workflows
- SPL (Search Processing Language) – excellent command
- Strong understanding of data models & CIM, index management and performance tuning
- Experience integrating Splunk with application, infrastructure and cloud platforms
- Hands‑on experience with alerting, correlation searches and dashboards
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in Splunk Observability (APM, Infrastructure Monitoring)
- CI/CD integration for Splunk content (Git, Jenkins, DevOps pipelines)
- Log and metric ingestion on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Splunk certifications: Power User, Admin, ITSI
- Automation and scripting with Python and shell
