My client, a large consultancy, is in need of a GCP Network DevOps Engineer for a 6 month contract opportunity inside IR35 based in Bristol offering 2 days per week remote but requiring 3 days per week on-site.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in:

  • Designing and delivering hybrid-cloud platforms and services
  • Automated API-driven systems with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and agile delivery models
  • Following and iteratively improving domain-owned services as GCP and other cloud-based products mature
  • Developing new features where other emerging technologies present an opportunity
  • Working with a team of engineers to deliver domain-owned deliverables and dependencies
  • Continuous curiosity to learn and develop themselves with industry best practice methods and tooling in the cloud function
  • Being technology agnostic and willing to adapt their approach in pursuit of the best solution
  • Significant experience of DevOps concepts and CI/CD pipelines using cloud native and third-party tooling - Git, Terraform Cloud, HashiCorp Vault, Harness, Jenkins
  • Managing incidents and problems to resolve (and advance) enterprise networking connectivity issues
  • Reviewing and providing feedback on code changes for fellow team members
  • Performing all engineering tasks in compliance with the Control and Security requirements
