IBRAN makes recycled-plastic ground reinforcement products: gravel grids, grass grids, drainage systems, garage tiles, modular blocks. Twelve years old, profitable, growing across the UK and into Europe. Trade customers, specifiers, contractors, merchants.
The role is closest in shape to a strong builders’ merchant branch manager. Running the operation: the team, the customers, the suppliers, the day-to-day commercial and operational rhythm. Sales, service, marketing, dispatch, logistics - all of it sits with you. This isn’t a deputy role. It isn’t a corporate role with layers of support. It’s a real operating job in a small, fast-moving business. You’ll have full authority to make decisions, set the standards, manage the team, and run IBRAN as your own.
What you’ll own:
- Day-to-day running of IBRAN as an operating business
- A small team across sales, service, and marketing (growing to 4-5 within 6 months)
- Customer relationships, supplier relationships, and senior commercial conversations
- Operational standards: SLAs, response times, dispatch performance, complaint handling
- Margin management and pricing discipline
- The relationship with our external creative agency and marketing output
You’re not being hired as a personal salesperson with a quota. You’ll close key deals where it makes sense - large accounts, strategic opportunities, situations that need senior weight. The job is making IBRAN perform as a business, not carrying your own pipeline.
You should apply if you:
- Have 5+ years running a P&L-responsible commercial operation in the construction products, civils, drainage, hard landscape, or related sector.
- Know construction trade customers, contractors, specifiers, and the rhythms of the sector
- Have managed teams properly - not just supervised, managed. Standards, conversations, decisions
- Are commercially sharp on pricing, margin, deal-making.
- Are comfortable in a small business without head-office scaffolding
- Want real autonomy and the chance to build something rather than maintain something
Comp: £55K+ base + bonus on branch performance (target 15% of base) + car or allowance + pension + 25 days holiday.
Location: Leicestershire. Regular site presence required, particularly in the first six months.
