Due to continued growth, we’re looking for a Sales Assistant to join our busy CRS Building Supplies Yeovil Branch.

The Role

As a Sales Assistant, you’ll be the first point of contact for trade and retail customers. Working in a fast‑paced builders’ merchant environment, you’ll provide product advice, process sales, and help deliver a consistently high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers in branch and over the phone
  • Provide accurate advice on products, pricing, and stock availability
  • Process orders, quotations, returns, and payments (EPOS)
  • Maintain a clean and well‑presented trade counter
  • Support stock control within the sales area
  • Build strong customer relationships and encourage repeat business
  • Liaise with yard and warehouse teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment

Requirements

  • Experience in a builders’ merchant, trade counter, or retail role (preferred)
  • Knowledge of building materials or construction products (desirable)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Proactive, reliable, and team‑focused
  • Able to work well in a busy environment

Working Hours

Week 1: Monday to Friday: 07:30 – 17:00

Week 2: Monday to Friday: 07:30 – 17:00, Saturday: 08:00 – 12:00
