We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused HGV Driver to join our team at the Somerton Branch.
The Role
This is a varied position offering more than just driving responsibilities. You'll play a key role in delivering products to customers while supporting the branch team when not out on deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver goods safely, efficiently, and professionally to customer sites.
- Provide excellent customer service on every delivery.
- Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and on time.
- Carry out pre- and post-use vehicle checks.
- Maintain delivery documentation and vehicle records.
- Assist with loading and unloading vehicles when required.
- Support yard operations, customer service, and general branch duties during quieter driving periods.
- Follow all road traffic legislation and company procedures.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Previous delivery driving or similar experience.
- Strong driving skills with a commitment to safety.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable
- HIAB licence (preferred but not essential – full training can be provided).
Working Hours
Week 1
- Monday to Friday: 7:00am – 4:30pm
Week 2
- Monday to Friday: 7:00am – 4:30pm
- Saturday: 8:00am – 12:00pm
