We’re looking for a customer-focused Internal Sales & Yard Operative to join our busy builders’ merchant branch in Grant & Stone Slough. This is a dual role combining office-based sales & customer service with hands-on yard work. Ideal for someone with a can-do attitude, strong communication skills, and experience in building materials or construction supply.
What You’ll Do
- Sales (Office):
- Handle customer enquiries (phone, email, in person)
- Process orders, quotes & returns
- Advise on products, pricing & availability
- Build relationships with trade customers
- Upsell and suggest alternatives
- Yard (Outdoor):
- Load/unload vehicles safely
- Pick & prepare orders
- Keep yard clean & organised
- Support stock control
- Use forklift (training provided)
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in builders merchant / construction (preferred)
- Strong customer service & sales skills
- Good product knowledge (advantage)
- Team player, works well under pressure
- Physically fit (outdoor/manual work)
- Forklift licence (desirable, not essential)

Week 1: Mon–Fri 07:30–17:15
Week 2: Mon–Fri 07:30–17:15 + Sat 08:00–12:00
