About the Role
We are recruiting for a Tool Hire Regional Business Development Executive to cover the Southeast region. This is a field-based role focused on growing sales, securing new business, and developing strong relationships with existing customers across Fairalls, Parkers and Chandlers brands. You will play a key role in driving sales performance and supporting the long-term growth of our Tool Hire business.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Identify and convert new business opportunities within your region
- Develop and deliver an effective territory sales strategy
- Promote the full tool hire product range, including new lines and promotions
- Negotiate pricing and terms to achieve agreed margin targets
- Prepare and follow up on quotations
- Plan and manage daily customer visits and appointments
- Maintain a structured call cycle to maximise sales opportunities
- Keep accurate records of customer interactions and sales activity
- Monitor sales performance and margin targets
- Handle customer queries and complaints efficiently
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ sales experience within the Tool Hire industry (ideally within a builders’ merchant)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Excellent organisation and time management
- Ability to negotiate and problem solve
- Good knowledge of building materials and hire products
- Understanding of relevant Health & Safety standards
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm
